Frequently Asked Questions

Here a few questions that I get asked a lot. If you question is not answered on this page, you can contact me and I will try to get to you when I can.

What is with the revision dates on this website?

Recently, I decided to revamp my website. In the new system, there is a date at the bottom of every page. This date is automatically updated everytime I make a change to a webpage, even if its small like changing the position of a picture. This date is not the date that the information was published or made available on my website. The publication date is usually available from the parent index page's webpage. For example, to find out when the oscilloscope project as published, visit the projects listing webpage. Individual source files may have revision dates as well and those are independant of the project that they are a part of.

I can't or don't know how to compile the code from this website

Ask someone who does or search for the error message or problem from your favourite website. If you really want to, you can try and contact me, but I usually can't help you.

I think I found something wrong the your content.

Thanks for pointing it out. I am human and I do make mistakes. Please contact me and I'll fix it as soon as I can so other people can have the benefit of your correction.

Your code/plans/documents suck/doesn't work/are broken. I want you to fix it.

I don't give support and make no guarantees about the information that I provide. You can try and contacting me, but YMMV.

Why is this site so… bland?

I do not believe in fancy webpages and don't want to waste my time in creating them. I try to make sure that this website lays out properly in most of the current web browsers and that is enough trouble as it is. Instead, I try to spend more time in making sure that the information presented is correct and well supported.

Gee wiz, there's a lot of good information on this website. Can I use it in xyz?

Probably. Read the license and legal page to be sure.
